The Deputy California Red Blend 2022

Sensuous

As SENSUOUS as Eartha Kitt, these mid-weight reds are ripe enough to offer plump fruit flavor but not heavy or tannic. The category includes most Merlots and our softer red blends, but also the ripest Pinot Noirs and the lightest Cabernets. These crowd-pleasing reds are thoroughly modern.

The story of our founder is as long as it is colorful. One of California’s first sheriffs, Agoston Haraszthy was elected the Sheriff of San Diego County in 1850. He built the first jail and served two exciting years before moving north to pursue “purple gold” and the perfect terroir for fine wines. He found it in Sonoma County where he established Buena Vista Winery in 1857.
Crafted from meticulously selected grapes sourced from prestigious vineyards across California, this wine is
a masterful blend that showcases depth and complexity. It opens with an inviting bouquet of dark fruits,
elegantly layered with warm hints of cinnamon and clove. On the palate, herbaceous undertones intertwine
with delicate notes of vanilla and ripe strawberry, leading to a beautifully balanced finish that lingers with
grace and refinement.
